Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Job Details

• Location: Downtown Los Angeles, CA
• Start Date: November 10, 2025
• End Date: February 28, 2026
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm (40 hours/week)
• Shifts per Week: 5
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• On-Call: Every other weekend (remote triage, rare in-person needs)
• EMR: Athena
• Patient Census: 2–8 patients per day
• Parking: Secure on-site parking provided

Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive primary care services to a diverse, primarily geriatric patient population enrolled in specialized healthcare programs
• Conduct 2–8 patient visits per day, with visit durations ranging from 5 to 45 minutes
• Complete accurate documentation and patient care notes using Athena EMR
• Participate in on-call rotation every other weekend (remote triage, rare in-person requirements)
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (IDT) to ensure holistic patient care and participate in regular team meetings

Nurse Practitioner Qualifications

• Active California Nurse Practitioner license (required for all California healthcare jobs)
• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in primary care or geriatric care
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) strongly preferred for Los Angeles healthcare jobs
• Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Willingness to enter a collaborative agreement with a supervising physician
• Comfortable with a full-time, on-site schedule (no remote or hybrid work)
