This facility is part of Veterans Evaluation Services (VES), a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans. They provide Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans across the country in various locations.

General Medicine Provider - Veterans Disability Evaluations

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for veterans • Multiple locations available: Coeburn (2 days/week), Covington (1 day/week), Hillsville (2 days/week), and Charlottesville (3 days/week) • Option to work at provider's own office location if available • Flexible scheduling with half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts on a PRN basis • One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Primarily interview-based exams with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active and unrestricted full license in Virginia • AANP certification required • Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Accepted specialties include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Local candidates only (travel included in rates) • Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • One-time bonus of $650 for completing all required training and performing first exams

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
