This opportunity is with a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans by providing medical evaluations and assessments. The organization specializes in Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans across the country.

Opportunity:
General Medicine Provider - Veterans Evaluation Services

Job Details:
• Perform Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans • North Anson location needs coverage 2 days per week • Houlton location needs coverage 1 day per week • Provider must have their own office location to perform assessments • Work available on a PRN basis, ongoing • Option to work half-days (4-hours) or full days (8-hours) • One-time non-treatment CP exams and separation health assessments • Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing) • No prescribing or treatment responsibilities • Quick credentialing and onboarding process • Acceptable specialties include: family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, or anyone with background in general medicine or experience with compensation and pension • Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions • Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products) • Requires active and unrestricted full license in Maine • Must complete DMA training to become DMA certified • Follow-up administrative work required (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics) • Local candidates only, travel included in rates • Cannot be active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.

Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
