This opportunity is with a government contractor helping our nation's Veterans through Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments. The organization provides important medical evaluation services across multiple locations in California, supporting the VA's mission to serve veterans.

General Medicine Provider - Veterans Evaluation Services
Job Details:
• Multiple locations available: Santa Rosa (1 day/week), Ukiah (2 days/week), Susanville (1 day/week), Crescent City (2 days/week), Ft. Irwin (1 day/week), and Sonora area (1 day/week)
• Provider's home address must be within specified mile radius of location (generally 50 miles)
• Some positions require provider to have their own office
• PRN basis, ongoing opportunity
• Option to work half days (4-hours) and/or full days (8-hours)
• Performing one-time non-treatment Compensation & Pension exams and separation health assessments
• Exams are primarily interview-based with some physical assessment (range of motion testing, muscle strength testing)
• No prescribing or treatment involved
• Quick credentialing and onboarding process
• Suitable for providers with backgrounds in family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general medicine, or experience with compensation and pension
• Must be proficient in METs testing, evaluating and diagnosing respiratory and cardiovascular conditions
• Must own a laptop (no Mac/Apple products allowed)
• Requires active and unrestricted full California license
• AANP certification required
• Must be willing to complete DMA training to become DMA certified
• Follow-up administrative work required on a regular basis (addendums, medical opinions, reading diagnostics)
• Not eligible for providers who are active military duty, in the reserves, or actively employed at the VA
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
Estimated Hourly Rate: $85 - $100
