Nurse Practitioners are needed to perform Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments for Veterans on a PRN basis. This is a non-treatment role involving structured evaluations, documentation, and reporting. Providers must reside within designated radius requirements for VA locations or maintain their own office for patient evaluations.
Job Responsibilities
Perform limited physical assessments such as range of motion and muscle strength testing.
Document findings thoroughly, including addendums, medical opinions, and follow-up diagnostics.
Complete mandatory DMA training and certification prior to starting assignments.
Provide accurate, respectful, and timely assessments in compliance with VA and VES standards.
Qualifications
Board Certification through AANP (required).
Proficient in METs testing, respiratory, and cardiovascular evaluations.
Must own a laptop (Windows-based; no Mac/Apple products).
Willing to complete Disability Medical Assessment (DMA) certification.
Not actively employed at the VA, in military reserves, or on active duty.
Working Hours
Half-day (4 hours) or full-day (8 hours) shifts available.
Flexible scheduling with no call or weekend requirements.
Skills
