NP/PA " Surgical First Assist Opportunity in Hudson Valley, New York

A hospital in the Hudson Valley of Upstate New York is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Surgical team. The role primarily involves first assisting in gynecologic and general surgical cases, rounding on inpatients, performing consults in the Emergency Department, and supporting efficient surgical scheduling. The region offers excellent year-round outdoor activities and cultural amenities, just 2 hours north of NYC and 45 minutes south of Albany.

Position Highlights:

• Setting: Outpatient, primarily surgical first assist

• Team: 3 general surgeons, 3 gynecologic surgeons, 2 full-time surgical PAs, and 1 first-assist NP

• Schedule: 40 hours per week; call responsibilities on a rotating basis for emergent OR cases only

• Reason for Recruitment: APP leaving practice

• Start Date: Flexible, as soon as available

Responsibilities:

• Serve as first surgical assistant for gynecologic and general surgical cases

• Manage immediate pre- and post-operative orders

• Round on inpatients and perform surgical consults in the Emergency Department and floors

Compensation & Benefits:

• Hospital-employed position with guaranteed base salary plus productivity incentives

• Compensation range: $110,000 " $150,000, based on experience
