6-month assignment with potential to extend (client would love to secure coverage through the end of the year ideally)

Credentialing Timeframe:

Up to 6 weeks, due to insurance enrollments (Medicare, Blue Cross, etc.)

Work Schedule:

Monday-Friday 8-5 PM + weekend call will be rotated between 1-2 other providers (no village travel)

Patient Volume:

8-10 patients a day TOTAL – their providers all have rotating schedules and it’s low volume, but they need providers who can see “anything” that comes through the door, including trauma (3k-4k patients/year) only 600 people in the village

Procedures:

Bread and butter Family Practice in the clinic (no village travel), but weekend call may include trauma

EMR:

Cerner

Licensure Needed:

AK license

Certifications Needed:

DEA, BLS/ACLS, and ATLS

Relevant Experience/Skill Set Needed:

Comfortable working in RURAL areas, especially Alaska, and needing to be comfortable handling trauma if necessary

Interview Schedule/Preferences:

Health Director and CEO review CV and then schedule a phone interview

Other additional pertinent information:

  • RN’s and MA’s on staff including with EMT’s and Paramedic
  • Needs to be comfortable seeing all ages
