Comprehensive Primary Care (CPC) guides patients in maintaining their optimum physical health with compassionate holistic health care. Together we strive for healthy neighbors across northern Virginia, eastern Maryland, and the District of Columbia. We have exciting new opportunities for enthusiastic, compassionate Primary Care Nurse Practitioners at several of our locations throughout DC and Maryland.
Job Responsibilities
Prescribe necessary medications & treatments
Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
Develop & implement patient management policies & procedures
Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care
Have a positive attitude & excellent patient care
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Exercise independent clinical judgement in managing patient care
Qualifications
License to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Washington DC or Maryland.
Satisfactory completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program in the respective field of practice resulting in the attainment of a Master’s Degree preferred.
Satisfactory completion of RN license and certification with either ANCC or AANP are required.
2- 4 years’ experience as a NP.
Satisfactory completion of continuing education credits as mandated by profession boards, licensing agencies or credentialing organizations.
Maintain a current certification in CPR at the healthcare provider level.
Must possess a current DEA certificate to write prescriptions for Code I and II medications.
Experience with EHR strongly preferred.
Spanish bi-lingual skills a plus.
Working Hours
100% Out-patient Primary Care Offices throughout DC and Maryland
