Family Medicine Nurse Practitioner

Our client has an exciting opportunity to be part of our newest community-based integrated care services in the Yakima Washington area. The Nurse Practitioner will support three unique programs as we continue to expand our service line to fill the gaps in essential care that the most vulnerable members of our community experience. This position is an opportunity for significantly varied work each day; collaboration with multiple treatment teams, modalities, and community partners; and to gain skills and experiences not otherwise possible in most primary care settings.

Family Nurse Practitioner duties may include:

  • evaluating clients’ physical health and providing routine medical treatment
  • prescribing & monitoring medications and educating clients & their support system about the medication’s purpose, appropriate dosage, and possible side effects
  • referring clients for additional medical care or labs when needed
  • collaborating clients and their behavioral health treatment teams to create an individualized treatment plan
  • prescribing buprenorphine and supporting the dosing procedures with the mobile MAT clinic team
  • completing all documentation & charting in a timely, client-centered manner

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's or doctorate degree in nursing or nursing practice with family nurse practice specialization
  • ANCC or AANP board certification as FNP
  • Registered Nurse license and Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license in Washington
  • DEA registration
  • First Aid & CPR certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One year of experience as a family nurse practitioner
  • Previous experience in behavioral health treatment
