Telepsychiatry Opportunity: ED Behavioral Health
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners (PMHNP) | Fully Remote | Access TeleCare
Assignment Details
- Location: Fully remote / telehealth. Active license required in TX. An active license in your state of residence is also required.
- Start Date: Flexible, following 4-7 months of onboarding and credentialing.
- Duration: Ongoing, permanent opportunity.
- Schedule:
- Full-time: 168 hours/month (21 eight-hour shifts), including two weekends per month (4 weekend shifts).
- Part-time: Will be considered at 88 hours/month, also including one weekend per month.
- Shift blocks (Eastern Time): Day 8a-4p, Evening 4p-12a, Nocturnal 12a-8a.
- CL service line: Daytime coverage (8a-8p ET) with no overnights.
- Availability of 252 hours/month (1.5x scheduled hours) is submitted 90 days before the start of each month and must include daytime, weekend, and nocturnal hours.
- Call Requirements: No traditional call. All clinicians join the holiday rotation, with 90 days' notice for planned absences.
- Setting: Telehealth ED and CL pods supporting Access TeleCare partner facilities. Number of rooms/ORs: N/A (virtual).
- Credentialing: 4-7 months for onboarding and credentialing.
Clinical Details
- Model:
- ED: All NPs begin in the ED for the first 6 months, providing telehealth behavioral health evaluation and care.
- CL: NPs interested in the CL role can train toward it after the initial 6 months. CL APPs work under MD/DO supervision.
- Case Types: Emergency and consultation-liaison behavioral health.

Requirements
- Certifications: PMHNP-BC
- Licensure:
- Active license in TX required to start.
- Active license in your state of residence also required.
- Experience Expectations
- Minimum of 2 years of recent and relevant inpatient experience
- Writing Sample: A writing sample is required as part of the NP presentation
