Nurse Practitioner - Emergency
Location: NC
Schedule: Night shifts (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM); no call; orientation required (arrival the day before the scheduled shift)
Position Overview
Provide nocturnist nurse practitioner coverage supporting the emergency department and inpatient admissions process. This role includes responding to codes and rapid responses as needed.
Coverage Needed
12/25/2026 11:00 PM - 12/26/2026 7:00 AM
12/31/2026 11:00 PM - 1/1/2027 7:00 AM
1/3/2027 through 3/31/2027 (night shift coverage)
Key Responsibilities
Admit and co-manage patients alongside the inpatient team
Respond to codes and rapid response activations as needed
Document patient care using Epic
Required Qualifications
NP with emergency medicine and inpatient experience within the last 12 months
Active North Carolina NP license
Active DEA with North Carolina address
ACLS, BLS, and PALS required
Candidates must have at least two years of clinical experience within the past five years to qualify.
