High-Impact Locums Opportunity | Starting September 2026

A healthcare facility in New York is seeking Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for ongoing locum coverage. Approximately 40 shifts are expected to be available beginning September 1, 2026, with both day and evening shift options.

• Specialty: Emergency Medicine – NP/PA

• Location: New York

• Start Date: September 1, 2026

• Approximately 40 shifts available

• Shift Options:

  • 9:00 AM–7:00 PM

  • 3:00 PM–12:00 AM

• APP Coverage: 11–20 hours daily

• Annual ED Volume: Approximately 21,000 visits

• ED Beds: 21

• EMR: Meditech

• New graduates considered – training provided

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

• Active New York RN and NP licenses

• Current AANP or ANCC Family Nurse Practitioner certification

• Active DEA with a New York address

• DEA must include Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV and V

• ACLS and PALS through the American Heart Association

• Moderate sedation competency

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program

• Active New York PA license

• Current NCCPA certification

• Active DEA with a New York address

• DEA must include Schedules II, IIN, III, IIIN, IV and V

• ACLS and PALS through the American Heart Association

• Moderate sedation competency

• Minimum 50 Category I CME credits within the previous 2 years

• Case logs for the previous 2 years

• Current annual influenza vaccination

• Current PPD or chest X-ray for initial credentialing

• Current physical examination for initial credentialing

• Current annual N95 fit test

• MMR, Hepatitis B and Varicella titers

• Malpractice coverage: $1.3M/$3.9M

Providers must have the following in hand to be presented:

• Actual New York state license

• Current board certification

• Active DEA with a New York address

• CSR, if required by the state
