Description
Noor Locums is seeking an experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for locum tenens coverage at a Level II Trauma Center in Michigan.
This is a no-call, 12-hour shift assignment with holiday coverage needed December 24–27, 2026. An orientation day is scheduled for December 23, with possible additional dates available in the future.
The NP/PA will work in the main Emergency Department alongside 1–2 board-certified Emergency Medicine physicians, caring for adult and pediatric patients in a fast-paced emergency setting.
Assignment Highlights
- 12-hour shifts: 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
- Holiday coverage: December 24–27, 2026

- Level II Trauma Center
- 19-bed Emergency Department, with hall beds available as needed
- No on-call hours
- Adult and pediatric emergency medicine

Job Responsibilities
Perform triage, stabilization, and standard emergency procedures as needed
Provide rapid clinical decision-making in a high-acuity environment
Work collaboratively with Emergency Medicine physicians, nurses, specialists, and support staff
Document patient interactions and treatment plans in the hospital EMR
Provide coverage in the main Emergency Department
Cover the Provider-in-Triage role when patient volume requires
Manage approximately 12–15 patients per shift plus handoffs
Participate in admissions as required
Qualifications
Current Michigan Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
Michigan controlled substance license
Current DEA registration
Current board certification in the applicable NP or PA specialty
Emergency Department experience required
Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients
Competence with standard Emergency Department procedures
Experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity ED environment
Ability to work effectively under pressure
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Current AHA-approved BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications
