Job description
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for a 6–12 month Emergency Medicine locum opportunity in Texas. This assignment offers flexible scheduling, expedited privileges for qualified candidates, travel and lodging provided, and the opportunity to practice in a busy Level IV Trauma Center.

Monday
- 9:00 AM–9:00 PM
- 1:00 PM–1:00 AM
Tuesday–Thursday
- 9:00 AM–8:00 PM
- 2:00 PM–1:00 AM
Friday–Sunday
- 10:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 3:00 PM–12:00 AM
Practice Setting
- Hospital-based Emergency Department
- Level IV Trauma Center
- Medhost EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients with acute and emergent conditions
- Perform Emergency Medicine procedures within scope of practice
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and ancillary services
- Document patient encounters using Medhost EMR
Department Details
- Approximately 31,000 annual ED visits
- Average daily volume of 84 patients
Requirements
- Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- Active Texas license required prior to presentation
- ACLS (AHA only) required
- ATLS required
- PALS required
- Alternative board certifications not accepted
- Emergency Medicine experience preferred
Credentialing
- Approximately 90-day credentialing timeframe
- Expedited privileges available for providers with clean files
Additional Information
- Travel and lodging provided
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Biweekly billing cycle
Ideal Candidate
An experienced Emergency Medicine NP or PA seeking a flexible locum assignment in a collaborative Emergency Department. Candidates should be comfortable managing a broad range of emergency presentations and able to commit to at least three shifts per month.
