We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants for an ongoing Emergency Medicine locum opportunity in Georgia. This assignment offers a collaborative Emergency Department environment, no call responsibilities, and the opportunity to manage a broad spectrum of acute and emergent conditions.

  • Flexible Emergency Department scheduling

Practice Setting

  • Hospital-based Emergency Department
  • Collaborative physician-led practice

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients with acute and emergent medical conditions
  • Perform Emergency Medicine procedures within scope of practice
  • Collaborate with Emergency Medicine physicians and multidisciplinary staff
  • Document patient encounters and treatment plans
  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based emergency care

Requirements

Nurse Practitioners

  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
  • Active, unrestricted Georgia RN and NP licenses
  • Board Certified (AANP or ANCC)
  • DEA with Georgia address

Physician Assistants

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Active, unrestricted Georgia PA license
  • NCCPA certification
  • DEA with Georgia address

All APPs

  • ACLS required
  • PALS required
  • ATLS or approved trauma course required
  • Clinical activity/case logs covering the past 2 years
  • CME/CEU documentation covering the past 2 years
  • TB screening documentation
  • Flu vaccination required during flu season

Preferred Qualifications

  • Emergency Medicine experience preferred
  • Strong clinical decision-making skills
  • Ability to manage a broad spectrum of emergency presentations
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Credentialing & Additional Information

  • Sponsoring physician name required at submission
