Join a busy and collaborative Emergency Department team at St. Joseph's Medical Center. Physician Practice Enhancement (PPE) is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide high-quality emergency care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Position Highlights

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat patients presenting with acute illnesses and injuries
Perform medical screenings, histories, and physical examinations
Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
Develop and implement treatment plans
Perform procedures within scope of practice
Assist with stabilization and management of critically ill patients
Document patient encounters accurately in the EMR
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and specialists to ensure quality patient care
Provide patient education and discharge instructions
Participate in quality and patient safety initiatives

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited NP or PA program
Active New York NP or PA license
DEA registration or eligibility
Emergency Medicine, Urgent Care, Critical Care, or Hospital Medicine experience preferred
Strong clinical and communication skills
