Hospital in Great Barrington, MA is seeking a Board Certified Emergency Medicine NP or PA for locum coverage from July 31, 2026 through August 31, 2026 (coverage needed due to parental leave). The provider will work in an 8-bed Emergency Department within a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital. Supervising physician will be present at all times.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform EKG interpretations
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with supervising physician (no autonomous practice)
• Communicate with paramedics via radio
• Document patient encounters accurately
• Utilize hospital resources including 24/7 radiology, lab, OR, and anesthesia services
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years Emergency Room experience – REQUIRED (No new grads)
• Active Massachusetts license – REQUIRED prior to start
• ACLS Certification – REQUIRED
• NPDB Self-Query (within 30 days) – REQUIRED
• Must meet 30-minute on-call physician response requirement
Working Hours
• Varied shifts
• 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM
• 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• No weekend requirement
• No call requirement
• Start Date: 07/31/2026
