Job description
A growing dermatology practice is seeking an experienced and patient-focused Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its new Palm Beach, Florida location, anticipated to open in early 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity for a dermatology-focused NP to become part of a new practice from the ground up and play an important role in establishing exceptional dermatologic care within the Palm Beach community.
The ideal candidate will have experience managing a broad range of dermatologic conditions and will provide high-quality medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services while building strong relationships with patients.
This position offers the opportunity to collaborate with experienced dermatology professionals while contributing to practice growth, clinical excellence, and an outstanding patient experience.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
Diagnose and manage a wide range of dermatologic conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
Provide medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology care within scope of practice.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Prescribe medications and treatments according to applicable regulations and protocols.
Dermatologic Procedures
Perform appropriate dermatologic procedures based on training and clinical experience, including:
Skin evaluations
Minor dermatologic procedures
Lesion assessments
Preventive skin care services
Other in-office dermatology procedures
Patient Education & Experience
Educate patients regarding:
Diagnoses
Treatment options
Medications
Prevention strategies
Long-term skin health
Provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
Deliver an exceptional patient experience.
Build lasting relationships within the Palm Beach community.
Practice Growth & Collaboration
Collaborate with dermatologists, physicians, and clinical team members.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Participate in developing and expanding the new Palm Beach location.
Support clinical quality initiatives and practice growth objectives.
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
Active and unrestricted Florida Nurse Practitioner license.
National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Current prescribing authority and applicable state credentials.
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with physicians and staff.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior dermatology experience strongly preferred.
Experience with dermatologic procedures.
Background in:
Medical dermatology
Surgical dermatology
Cosmetic dermatology
Experience in an outpatient specialty practice.
Strong interest in building long-term patient relationships.
