Practice Highlights

• Provide overnight Critical Care and Pulmonary services in an acute care hospital.
• Manage critically ill patients in a Level I Trauma setting.
• Perform and/or manage procedures including:
  • Central venous catheter placement
  • Arterial line placement
  • Thoracentesis
  • Chest tube and pigtail catheter insertion
  • Bedside ultrasound
  • Flexible bronchoscopy
  • Indwelling pleural catheter management
  • Intubation
• Work alongside an experienced critical care team in a hospital-based setting.
• No teaching responsibilities specified.

Schedule & Coverage

• Shift: 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Shift Type: 12-hour nights
• No Call
• Coverage Dates:
  • March 15–21, 2027
  • May 10–16, 2027
  • May 24–30, 2027
• Assignment: Approximately 6 months with option to extend

Requirements

• Board-Certified ACNP
• Minimum 2 years of recent Pulmonary/Critical Care experience
• Active Virginia Medical License preferred
• Active Virginia DEA preferred
• Candidates willing to obtain Virginia licensure may be considered
• Experience with critical care procedures preferred
