Our established private Client is seeking experienced Physician Assistants (PA) and Nurse Practitioners (NP) to provide ICU coverage across multiple hospitals throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties on Long Island.

Job Responsibilities
Independently evaluate, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Perform comprehensive ICU admissions, daily patient management, and follow-up care.
Respond promptly to medical emergencies, rapid response calls, and patient deterioration.
Perform critical care procedures within hospital credentialing and scope of practice.
Collaborate with intensivists, consulting physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary care teams.
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based patient care while ensuring patient safety and continuity of care.
Qualifications
Current New York State license (or eligibility for licensure) as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
National Board Certification.
Minimum of 1–2 years of Critical Care/ICU experience.
Candidates with strong Acute Care, Emergency Medicine, Hospital Medicine, Trauma, Surgical, or other high-acuity clinical backgrounds who are committed to transitioning into Critical Care are encouraged to apply.
Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and emergency response skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Working Hours
Experience managing critically ill adult patients.
Proficiency with ICU procedures and critical care protocols.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
