Position: Nurse Practitioner – Pediatric Cardiac ICU
Assignment: Locum Tenens
Duration: 6–9 months
Schedule: 39 hours/week | Rotating Days & Nights

Job Responsibilities
Care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease
Manage complex pre- and post-operative cardiac patients
Exposure to single-ventricle physiology, arrhythmias, vasopressors, pacemakers, VA/VV ECMO and CRRT
Occasional care for adults with congenital heart disease and PICU boarders
Highly collaborative, multidisciplinary critical care environment
Day/Night rotating schedule:
6:00 AM–7:00 PM
6:00 PM–7:00 AM
Approximately 50% days / 50% nights
Unit will try to avoid scheduling days and nights within the same week
Weekends, holidays, call/callback based on unit needs
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology
Master's degree as a Nurse Practitioner
Active New York NP and RN licenses
Current national NP certification
BLS & PALS from AHA
Pediatric Acute Care NP certification preferred
