Job description
We are seeking an experienced Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a short-term Critical Care locum assignment in Georgia. This opportunity offers day shifts in a Medical-Surgical ICU, working alongside attending intensivists in a collaborative, evidence-based critical care environment.

Practice Setting
- Medical-Surgical Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Evidence-based critical care practice
- Cerner EMR
Clinical Responsibilities
- Manage critically ill ICU patients
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments
- Develop and implement treatment plans
- Interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds
- Communicate closely with ICU nursing staff
- Complete History & Physicals, consultations, follow-up notes, event notes, and procedure documentation
Procedures
- Central line placement (CVLs, Vascaths, Introducers)
- Arterial line placement
Patient Volume
- Typical APP census of 10–15 ICU patients
Team Structure
- Work alongside attending intensivists
- Collaborative multidisciplinary ICU team
Requirements
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
- NPs must be Acute Care Certified (ACNP)
- Active national certification
- Active Georgia license
- Minimum 1–2 years of ICU APP experience
- Proficiency with central line and arterial line placement
- Case logs required during credentialing

An experienced ICU APP with strong procedural skills who is comfortable independently managing critically ill patients while collaborating with intensivists in a high-acuity Medical-Surgical ICU.
