Cumming, GA:
Key Responsibilities include:
· Managing critically-ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting. Typical APP to patient ratio 10-15 ICU patients per APP (with attending MD also available).
· Collaborate with attending MDs to develop plan of care and communicate dynamic changes throughout shift.
· Conduct ongoing patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
· Order entry (Cerner EMR) and thorough documentation of History and Physicals, Consultations, Event / Follow-up Notes and Procedure Notes.
· Interpret diagnostic testing
· Communicate with ICU nursing staff
· Participate in multi-disciplinary rounds each shift
· Perform invasive procedures including, but not limited to, central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths and introducers) and arterial line insertions – abiding by hospital MSO credentialing.
Qualifications:
· If NP candidate, *MUST BE ACUTE CARE CERTIFIED*
· ACNP or PA with valid national and state licensure
· Minimum of 1-2 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an ICU setting
· Proficiency with ICU procedures – specifically central and arterial line insertions - **case logs will be requested during credentialing**
