JOB OVERVIEW
• Job Title: NPPA – Critical Care
• Job Type: Locum Tenens
• Location: Waukesha, WI
• Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: May 1, 2026 – Ongoing
• Clinical Shift Schedule: Day and Night shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM; 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 7–10 shifts per month

PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults, Geriatrics
• Patient Volume/Census: ADC 15–18 (Waukesha ICU), ADC 1–3 (Oconomowoc ICU)
• Admissions: Yes
• Rounding: Included
• Phone Consults: Yes
• Case Mix: Critical Care, ICU patients
FACILITY INFORMATION
• No. of Beds in Department: 300 beds (24 ICU beds) – Waukesha; 156 beds (11 ICU beds) – Oconomowoc
• EMR System: Epic
• Office Equipment Available: ICU monitoring and critical care equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: CT Surgery, Interventional Radiology, Neurosurgery, Neurology, Nephrology
• Support Staff Available: MD and APP care team (1 MD + 1 APP day; 1 APP night with MD on-call)
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Hospital Privileges Required: Yes (cross credentialing at both facilities required)

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Critical care patient management
• Ventilator management
• ICU rounding and patient monitoring
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active WI license required
• Board: Board Certification required
• DEA: Active DEA required
• Certifications: ACLS required
• Experience: Recent critical care experience required
• Other Qualifications: Must provide case logs for past 2 years; vaccination records required; ability to work both day and night shifts
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide critical care services in ICU setting
• Manage complex patient cases and coordinate care with multidisciplinary team
• Perform daily rounding and patient assessments
• Provide telemedicine support as needed across facilities
• Ensure accurate documentation and adherence to clinical protocols
