Job description
We are seeking a compassionate, confident, and clinically strong Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join a dedicated healthcare team within a Correctional Facility in Wisconsin. The NP will provide comprehensive healthcare services to an adult correctional population including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, health education, and chronic disease management. It's a great opportunity for compassionate NPs looking for a consistent schedule in a structured clinical environment with a supportive interdisciplinary team caring for a vulnerable patient population.
Shift: M-F, 8a-4p
Pay Package:
Local: $100 - $105 / hour
Travel Pay: $4100 - $4320 weekly Gross (includes $1560 weekly stipend)
Position Type: Contract / Travel
Contract Length: 26 weeks+
Location: Multiple sites across Wisconsin
including Sturtevant, Waupun, Fond Du Lac, Portage, and others

Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
- Manage chronic care clinics including hypertension, diabetes, asthma, and other ongoing conditions
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with regulations and protocols
- Respond appropriately to urgent and emergent medical situations
- Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and correctional healthcare standards
Qualifications
- Active Wisconsin NP License
- Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP), Adult-Gerontology NP (AGNP), or related specialty
- Correctional experience not required
