An established and growing cardiovascular practice is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) with a strong background in cardiology to join its cardiovascular care team.
The ideal candidate will have experience independently evaluating & managing cardiac patients in a hospital setting, with strong EKG interpretation skills and prior critical care experience.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide comprehensive inpatient cardiology care for approximately 10 to 15 patients per day
• Perform detailed physical examinations & develop evidence based treatment plans
• Interpret EKGs with a high level of proficiency
• Prescribe medications & coordinate ongoing cardiac management
• Perform & interpret cardiac stress testing, with training available if needed
• Collaborate closely with cardiologists & multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Facilitate referrals & coordinate continuity of care
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation & meet regulatory requirements
• Participate in hospital credentialing & insurance enrollment processes
Qualifications
• Current New Jersey Nurse Practitioner license
• Active NJ DEA & CDS
• Minimum 2 years of cardiology experience as an NP
• Experience independently evaluating & treating cardiac patients
• Strong EKG interpretation skills
• Prior critical care experience required
• Ability to work autonomously in a fast paced hospital environment
• Excellent communication, organization & interpersonal skills
Working Hours
🚫 No Weekends or On Call
Skills
• Hospitalist experience with significant cardiac exposure may be considered
• Familiarity with hospital credentialing & payer enrollment processes
