Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Outpatient Cardiology

A health services organization in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a promising opportunity with their Cardiology team at their outpatient practice.

About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: Standard business
• Setting: Outpatient

Responsibilities:

• Obtain and document patient histories related to chief complaints and visit reasons
• Perform physical examinations, evaluate patients, and document pertinent findings
• Provide care for adult patients with cardiovascular complaints and conditions
• Conduct and supervise cardiac diagnostic testing
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and other appropriate examinations
• Diagnose cardiovascular conditions, develop treatment plans, and assess response to therapy

Qualifications:

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN)
• Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program registered by the New York State Education Department
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience practicing as a Nurse Practitioner treating Cardiovascular conditions
• Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner from an approved accrediting body such as ANCC or AANP
• Current, unencumbered New York State RN license
• Active or eligible Medicare/Medicaid enrollment
• Current ACLS certification
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Comfort with electronic medical records and Microsoft Office

Desired Skills:

• Experience with cardiac stress testing
• Background in complex cardiac imaging
• Experience collaborating with cardiology physicians in an outpatient setting
• Experience in preventive maintenance and chronic disease management for cardiac patients
