Cardiac Surgery NP/PA – Outpatient Clinic Coverage – New Jersey

We are seeking a Cardiac Surgery APP (NP or PA) for a 9-month outpatient locum assignment in New Jersey. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced provider seeking a clinic-based role with no inpatient responsibilities and a highly collaborative cardiac surgery team.

Assignment Details

• 9-month assignment
• Coverage for leave of absence
• Outpatient-only position
• No hospital coverage
• No call responsibilities noted

Schedule

• Monday – Friday
• Four 10-hour shifts per week
• Rotating day off each week

Practice Setting

• Outpatient Cardiac Surgery Clinic
• Preoperative and postoperative patient management
• Clinic-based role only

Patient Volume

• Approximately 10 patients per day

Clinical Responsibilities

• Preoperative cardiac surgery evaluations
• Postoperative follow-up care
• Wound assessments
• Minor postoperative procedures
• Care coordination with cardiac surgery team

Procedures

• Wound debridement
• Packing placement
• Postoperative wound management

Team Structure

• Five Cardiac Surgery Physicians
• Five Outpatient APPs
• Clinical APP Manager
• Collaborative relationship with inpatient APP teams

Requirements

• Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Active New Jersey license required
• Current DEA required
• Current CDS required
• Cardiac Surgery or Cardiovascular Surgery experience preferred
