• Seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for a Pediatric Cardiac ICU assignment from July 20, 2026 – January 16, 2027.
• Join a 16-bed Pediatric Cardiac Care Center caring for critically ill pediatric congenital cardiac patients.
• APPs function as primary providers managing complex congenital heart disease patients in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary environment.
• This role focuses on critical care management rather than procedural volume.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide care for pre- and post-operative cardiac surgery patients
• Manage patients with single ventricle physiology, arrhythmias, and complex cardiac anatomy
• Participate in the care of patients requiring vasopressor support, pacemakers, ECMO (VA/VV), and CRRT
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other specialists 🤝
• Assist with treatment planning, patient monitoring, and critical care management
Qualifications
• Active New York State RN License required
• Active New York State Nurse Practitioner License required
• National Nurse Practitioner Certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric Cardiac ICU experience as an APP required
• Strong knowledge of complex cardiac anatomy and physiology required
• BLS Certification (AHA) required
• PALS Certification required
• Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification preferred
Working Hours
• 3 shifts per week
• 13-hour rotating shifts
• Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Night Shift: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Approximately 50% days and 50% nights
• Weekends, holidays, call, and callback coverage as needed
