A respected healthcare organization in Meadville, Pennsylvania is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join its growing Cardiology team.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative group of cardiologists and healthcare professionals providing comprehensive cardiovascular care to patients across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
The ideal candidate will have prior cardiology experience, strong clinical assessment skills, and the ability to manage complex cardiovascular patients.
Schedule
• Full-time position
• Monday – Friday schedule
• Combination of outpatient clinic and inpatient rounding
• No overnight shifts
• Call schedule determined in collaboration with cardiology team
Position Highlights

Key Responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive cardiovascular patient assessments including history and physical examinations
• Manage cardiac patients in outpatient clinic and hospital environments
• Collaborate with cardiologists to develop and implement treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and labs
• Provide follow-up care and management of chronic cardiovascular conditions
• Educate patients on cardiovascular disease prevention and treatment plans
• Coordinate care with nursing, rehabilitation, pharmacy, and specialty teams
• Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record
• Support clinical quality improvement initiatives and cardiology best practices
Required Qualifications
• Certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C)
• Active Pennsylvania license or ability to obtain
• 2+ years of cardiology experience preferred
• Experience in outpatient cardiac care and outpatient pain management required
• Strong diagnostic and clinical assessment skills
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
Preferred Experience
• Outpatient cardiology clinic experience
• Heart failure clinic experience
• Cath lab or electrophysiology support
• Experience coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient settings
