About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant specializing in Cardiovascular or Cardiothoracic Surgery to join a busy surgical team in Dallas, TX. This role involves OR-based responsibilities, emergency department support, and advanced procedural skills including endoscopic vein harvesting and ECMO management. The ideal provider is highly skilled, efficient, and comfortable working in a high-acuity environment alongside an advanced surgical team.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform endo-vein harvesting
- Manage and monitor ECMO
- Provide emergency department support under beeper call
- Deliver perioperative and postoperative patient care
- Collaborate with attending surgeons, APPs, and interdisciplinary teams
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
Qualifications
- Board Certified
- Advanced experience in cardiovascular or cardiothoracic surgery
- Proficiency in endoscopic vein harvesting and ECMO required
- Strong procedural skills and ability to work in a fast-paced OR environment
Working Hours
- On-call responsibilities through emergency department beeper call
- In-person role
