• Full-time locum tenens opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner supporting Pre-Anesthesia Testing and surgical services.
• Provider will conduct outpatient pre-operative evaluations for patients preparing for upcoming surgeries.
• Patients are not undergoing surgery on the same day as their pre-operative visit.
• Expected patient volume is approximately 8–9 patients per day.
• Clinical responsibilities focus on patient assessment, chart review, data collection, optimization, and care coordination.
• No procedure-based skills are required.
• Epic EMR experience is required.
• Excellent opportunity for an APP seeking a consistent Monday–Friday schedule with no call or weekend requirements.

Job Responsibilities
• Assess and optimize patients prior to surgery.
• Review H&Ps, medical records, and relevant patient information.
• Review and utilize facility-approved optimization protocols and resources.
• Perform detailed chart review and clinical data collection.
• Identify medical concerns and make appropriate referrals when needed.
• Coordinate care with the Surgery and Anesthesia teams.
• Evaluate patients preparing for Orthopedic, General Surgery, and Urology procedures.
• Document patient assessments and clinical information in Epic.
• Support the overall pre-anesthesia testing process.
• Communicate relevant findings and recommendations to the appropriate clinical teams.
Qualifications
• Active New York State NP license required and must be in hand.
• Board Certified required.
• Active BLS certification required.
• AHA or RQI certification required.
• Epic experience required.
• Must be available for a full-time Monday–Friday schedule.
• Residents and Fellows are not accepted.
• Updated work history required with no employment gaps of 30+ days.
Working Hours
• 8-hour shifts.
• 7:30 AM–3:30 PM.
• First patient: 8:00 AM.
• Last patient: 3:00 PM.
• No call.
• No weekends.
• Approximately 8–9 patients per day.
