Seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to provide Pre Anesthesia Testing services in an outpatient, office type setting.
• • • Full time locum assignment
• • • Start date: September 21, 2026 or sooner
• • • Assignment length: 3–6 months
• • • Approximately 8–9 patients per day
• • • Patients are evaluated before upcoming surgery, not on the day of surgery
• • • Consistent Monday through Friday schedule
• • • No call or weekend requirements
• • • Epic EMR experience required
Job Responsibilities
• • • Assess & optimize patients before upcoming surgical procedures
• • • Review H&P and relevant patient information
• • • Review medical records & collect clinical data
• • • Utilize existing facility optimization protocols
• • • Identify patients requiring additional evaluation or referrals
• • • Coordinate care with Surgery & Anesthesia teams
• • • Support preoperative clearance & surgical readiness
• • • Document patient assessments in Epic
• • • Work with surgical specialties including Orthopedics, General Surgery & Urology
• • • Participate in an ambulatory, office type clinical workflow
Qualifications
• • • Active NY NP license in hand
• • • Board Certified
• • • Active BLS certification
• • • AHA or RQI certification
• • • Epic experience required
• • • Preoperative or pre anesthesia experience preferred
• • • Updated CV with complete work history required
Working Hours
• • • 8 hour shifts
• • • 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
• • • First patient: 8:00 AM
• • • Last patient: 3:00 PM
• • • No call
• • • No weekends
• • • No procedure based skills required
