Advance your career with this locum tenens Certified Nurse Midwife opportunity in Bellingham, Washington. Practice with clinical autonomy in a collaborative maternity care environment, caring for laboring patients, supporting deliveries, and providing clinic care during call shifts when needed. This assignment is ideal for experienced Certified Nurse Midwives seeking a dynamic role with diverse clinical exposure and meaningful patient care.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform vaginal deliveries and assist with Cesarean sections.
• Conduct labor inductions, patient triage, rounding, and admissions.
• Perform FSE placement, IUPC placement, and repair grade 1 and 2 perineal lacerations.
• Provide outpatient clinic care during call shifts as needed and document care using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
• Active Washington license required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience.
• BLS certification required.
• DEA required.
• Epic charting experience.
• Documentation of obstetric and/or gynecologic clinical activity within the previous 24 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination required (no exemptions).
Working Hours
• 2–3 call shifts per week
• Up to 5 call shifts per pay period
• Clinic responsibilities during call shifts as patient volume allows
