We are seeking a Board-Certified Certified Nurse Midwife for a PRN locum opportunity in Tennessee. This assignment offers flexible 12- and 24-hour shifts, full travel coverage, and the opportunity to practice the full scope of midwifery in a collaborative hospital environment.

Assignment Details

  • Start: Early October 2026
  • PRN coverage
  • Significant shift availability expected September–December
  • Full travel reimbursement

Schedule

  • Flexible PRN scheduling
  • 12-hour shifts:
    • 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
    • 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
  • 24-hour shifts:
    • 7:00 AM–7:00 AM

Practice Setting

  • Women's Health / Midwifery
  • Epic EMR

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Full-scope Certified Nurse Midwife practice
  • Labor and delivery management
  • Intrapartum and postpartum care
  • OB triage
  • Evaluate and manage emergent obstetric patients
  • First assist during surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with OB/GYN physicians and Labor & Delivery nursing staff

Program Details

  • Approximately 1,500–2,000 births annually
  • 24/7 OB/GYN physician support
  • 24/7 Anesthesiology coverage
  • Team-based collaborative practice

Requirements

  • Board-Certified Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Active Tennessee license or Eligible for Tennessee licensure with an active RN Compact License
  • Full-scope midwifery experience required
  • Hospital-based experience managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage
  • Strong communication and collaborative practice skills
  • Tennessee license verification or RN Compact verification required at presentation
