Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified CNM for locum coverage beginning November 2026. This opportunity offers inpatient labor and delivery coverage within a full-scope midwifery practice supported by onsite OB/GYN physicians and NICU services.
Assignment Details:
- Start: November 2026
- 13-week assignment
- 3–7 shifts per month
Schedule:
- 12-hour and 24-hour in-house shifts available
- Shift options:
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- 7:00 AM – 7:00 AM
- Scheduled coverage only
Practice Setting:
- Acute care hospital
- Full-scope midwifery program
- Inpatient labor & delivery coverage
- Level III NICU support
- 24-hour OB/GYN physician backup
- Epic EMR
Work Details:
- Labor and delivery management
- Intrapartum care
- Postpartum care
- OB triage coverage
- Well-woman gynecologic exams
- First Assist responsibilities required
Patient Population:
- Approximately 1,300–1,500 annual births
Requirements:
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM)
- Board Certified
- Active Texas license required
- Active Texas DEA required
- Minimum 2 years full-scope midwifery experience
- Minimum 2 years recent First Assist experience
Travel:
- Travel accommodations provided
