Facility in Tallahassee, FL seeking Midwife Locums coverage

$80/hr

Opportunity Highlights

  • Consistent Schedule: Work a predictable schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM. This is a purely outpatient role with no call requirement.

  • Outpatient Focus: Independently manage and provide full-scope outpatient midwifery care, including comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services.

  • Collaborative Environment: Work as part of a team alongside clinical colleagues, including OB/GYNs, RNs, licensed clinical social workers, health coaches, lactation counselors, and childbirth educators.

  • Triage and Quality: The role involves triaging and caring for emergent obstetric patients in collaboration with RNs and OB/GYNs and participating in quality improvement initiatives.

  • EMR System: The facility uses Meditech for charting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide independent, full-scope obstetric and gynecological services in the outpatient clinic setting.

  • Triage and manage emergent obstetric patients, coordinating care with RNs and OB/GYNs.

  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, skills training, and drills.

  • Maintain a holistic and patient-preference centered approach to care.

Provider Requirements

  • Certification: Active certification with AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board) is required.

  • Licensure: A current RN and APRN license in Florida is REQUIRED. Florida-licensed providers only will be considered at this time.

  • Experience: Experience managing intrapartum, postpartum, and OB triage in a hospital setting is preferred (2 years preferred).

  • Certifications: BLS certification is required by the start date. NRP certification, along with additional certifications in Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and/or Lactation consultation are preferred.

  • DEA: A DEA license is required.

Start Date

  • The target start date is December 1, 2025. The contract duration is 13 weeks.
