Facility in Cookeville, TN seeking Outpatient Midwife locums coverage
Rates: $80/hr
Opportunity Highlights

Flexible Schedule: This position is available for full-time or part-time work, with a schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM.

Diverse Responsibilities: You'll be providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in an outpatient clinic. You will also have the opportunity to provide day-to-day leadership on the Labor & Delivery unit, including in-house clinical coverage.

Collaborative Environment: You will work effectively as part of a collaborative OB/CNM practice, alongside OB/GYNs, RNs, licensed clinical social workers, health coaches, lactation counselors, and childbirth educators.

Patient-Centered Care: The practice values patient preferences, shared decision-making, and a holistic care approach. You will be expected to triage and care for emergent obstetric patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

EMR System: The facility uses Paragon for all charting.
Responsibilities

Independently manage and provide full-scope midwifery care in the outpatient clinic.

Provide leadership and in-house clinical coverage on the Labor & Delivery unit.

Triage and care for emergent obstetric patients, collaborating with RNs and OB/GYNs.

Participate in skills training and drills for high-acuity/low-frequency events.

Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services.
Provider Requirements

Certification: Active certification with AMCB (American Midwifery Certification Board) is required.

Licensure: An active RN and APRN license in Tennessee is required. The facility is willing to license qualified candidates.

Experience: Experience in managing OB/GYN patients in an outpatient clinic setting is required.

Certifications: BLS is required by the start date. NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), Obstetric Ultrasound, Advanced Fetal Monitoring, and/or Lactation consultation certifications are preferred.

Background: A clean background is required.
Start Date

The target start date is November 3, 2025, or as soon as credentialing is complete. The contract is for 3 months with the option to extend.
