Job description
Arc Health is seeking a Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) to provide compassionate, high-quality women’s health services to an American Indian/Alaska Native community at a Great Plains Indian Health Service facility in Rosebud, South Dakota.
This is an opportunity to practice meaningful medicine in a rural community while working alongside a dedicated, multidisciplinary healthcare team.
About the Facility & Community
Located in Rosebud, South Dakota, the facility is a 35-bed comprehensive medical/surgical hospital serving members of the Rosebud Sioux Tribe and surrounding reservation communities.
Providers have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while delivering respectful, patient-centered care in a rural setting.
The selected provider will provide outpatient women’s health services and collaborate with physicians, specialists, and other members of the care team.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing comprehensive outpatient women’s health and midwifery services
- Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, and chronic conditions
- Performing comprehensive physical examinations
- Developing treatment plans and coordinating follow-up care
- Collaborating with physicians and specialists
- Participating in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
- Providing culturally sensitive, patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) or Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP)
- Board Certified or Board Eligible
- Experience providing women’s health services
- Strong clinical and communication skills
- Commitment to serving rural and underserved communities
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds and communities
- Availability for a minimum 3–6 month assignment
- Ability to participate in rotating call coverage
