Well-established OBGYN group is currently seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife to join their OB/GYN practice. There are 4 OBGYN providers, 2 NPs, and 1 CNM. Their clinic has 12 exam rooms, 1 ultrasound room, 1 procedure room, and 1 NST room. This is a full-scope position in a collaborative practice.
Job Responsibilities:
Examining and monitoring pregnant women
Assessing care requirements and writing care plans for patients.
Carrying out screening tests
Providing information, emotional support, and reassurance to patients as needed.
Monitoring and recording patient vital signs.
Caring for and assisting women during labor.
Monitoring and administering medication, injections, and intravenous infusions during labor
Monitoring the fetus during labor.
Advising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies.
Helping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death
Ensure all patient records are up to date.
Identifying high-risk pregnancies.
Qualifications:
Active license as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife
Certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
Active DEA Number
2+ years of experience working as a Nurse Midwife or as a Labor and Delivery Nurse
