First Physicians Group of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is seeking to employ two (2) Certified Nurse Midwives to join our OB Hospitalist group. This group is responsible for providing 24/7 in-house coverage at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida.
Qualified candidates would join two experienced CNMs and would be responsible for coverage working either 3-12 hour overnights / week or a 24 hour + 12-hour day shift. Sarasota Memorial Hospital (SMH) is listed among U.S. News’ 50 Best Hospitals for Obstetrics/Gynecology Care for 2023-2024 for performing over 4,199 deliveries. In 2023, Sarasota Memorial also received Level III Maternal Care Verification from the Joint Commission, in collaboration with the American College of Obstetrics. SMH is the system’s 897-bed flagship facility with a CMS 5-star rating for its overall quality and is the only hospital in Florida and one of just 33 across the nation to maintain its top rating since 2016.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide assessment and care to OB triage patients.
• Post-operative follow-up exams for OB Hospitalist surgical patients.
• First assist with c-sections.
• Postpartum rounding.
• Stand-by for births.
• Occasional labor management/birth of low-risk walk-in patients.
Qualifications
• Licensed or eligible for licensure as an APRN-CNM in Florida
• Graduate of an accredited program
