The position offers flexible 8- and 10-hour shifts, no call responsibilities, and a collaborative anesthesia care model. Candidates must be comfortable managing basic pediatric cases, including the possibility of assignment to a room with a high volume of pediatric patients.
Job Responsibilities
Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and review relevant medical histories.
Develop and implement appropriate anesthesia care plans.
Administer and monitor anesthesia throughout surgical and procedural cases.
Monitor patients’ vital signs and respond appropriately to changes in clinical condition.
Provide appropriate post-anesthesia care and handoff to recovery staff.
Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other members of the perioperative team.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in Epic.
Follow established anesthesia protocols and patient safety standards.
Demonstrate competency in basic pediatric anesthesia cases.
Qualifications
Board certification required.
Current ACLS certification.
Current PALS certification.
Active state license required at the time of presentation.
Experience providing anesthesia care in a hospital-based setting.
Competence in basic pediatric anesthesia cases.
Ability to manage a variety of adult surgical cases.
Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
Ability to complete facility credentialing requirements.
Working Hours
Assignment Duration: Through mid-December 2026
Shift Options: 8-hour and 10-hour shifts
Schedule: Weekday shifts, with a minimum commitment of 3 shifts per week
On-Call: No call required
Anesthesia Model: Care team model
Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 60 days

Travel and Housing: Travel and accommodation provided according to assignment guidelines
