Job description

The CRNA must be available for the coverage period beginning December 14, 2026, for the duration of the approved 13-week assignment.
This assignment includes inpatient and outpatient anesthesia coverage, onsite hospital and ambulatory surgery center coverage, general and specialty surgical anesthesia, and a flexible schedule with no call requirements.

Locum Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Charleston, WV
Shift: Flexible scheduling: 5 × 8-hour shifts, 4 × 10-hour shifts, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, or 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, depending on departmental needs
Start Date: December 14, 2026
End Date: Approximately 13 weeks after the start date, subject to approval
Position Details: Float pool coverage across three hospitals located within approximately five minutes of one another. Most coverage will be in the Main ORs, primarily at Memorial. No guaranteed shifts.
Patient Population: Neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Setting: Hospital and ambulatory surgery center
Responsibilities: Provide anesthesia services across multiple surgical specialties and clinical locations based on departmental needs.
Required Procedures: Anesthesia coverage for general, vascular, orthopedic, urology, plastics, dental, interventional radiology, thoracic, pediatric, neurological, cardiac, and endoscopy procedures
EMR System: Cerner
Support Staff: Hospital anesthesia and surgical teams
Days Per Month: Flexible, based on departmental needs; no shift guarantee
On-Call/Weekends: No call. Must be willing to work weekends when scheduled but cannot work weekends only.

Requirements

• NBCRNA board certification
• Active West Virginia license required; candidates willing to obtain licensure may be considered
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Minimum of 2 years of experience
• Cerner charting experience required
• West Virginia CSR required
• Flexible availability to accommodate departmental scheduling needs
