Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) Position in Virginia

Opportunity Overview

• 36-40 hours per week
• 6 or 12-month contract preferred
• 4:1 supervision
• Floating between Mary Washington, Stafford, and MW Ambulatory Center
• Level 2 Trauma facility
• Heavy OB, thoracic, EP, and vascular cases
• Must have Level 2 Trauma experience

Schedule & Coverage

• Must be available full-time
• Flexible with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts
• Mostly day shifts, with occasional night coverage
• One weekend shift per month may be required
• One call shift per 8-week schedule:
  • 7:00 PM-7:00 AM weekday call, or
  • 7:00 AM-7:00 PM weekend call
• One holiday shift may be required
• Holiday shifts paid at 1.5x
• One early 7:00 AM start per 8-week schedule
• Up to 3 schedule requests per 8-week schedule
• Overtime paid after the scheduled shift, not after reaching 40 hours
• Beeper call may be available for nightly or weekend coverage

Clinical Details

• Heavy OB and thoracic caseload
• EP and vascular cases
• General OR cases
• Hearts and lungs
• Pediatrics preferred
• Dental/ENT
• Orthopedics
• GI and ENT
• No transplant cases
• CRNAs independently perform and manage epidurals and spinals
• No regional blocks
• Blocks are not guaranteed
• Must be proficient in spinal and epidural placement and management
• Credentialing also includes a 4-OR satellite hospital and 6-OR ASC
• Occasional floating required
• Pediatric experience preferred

Requirements

• CRNA
• Virginia license at submission or actively being processed
• AHA certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of experience
• Level 2 Trauma experience required
• OB and thoracic experience required
• Must be proficient with spinals and epidurals
• Must be available full-time
• EPIC experience if applicable
• Credentialing timeframe: approximately 90-120 days
