Job description
OnCall Solutions is looking for a locum tenens CRNA to support inpatient surgical services at a multi-site health system in Eastern Virginia. The system includes a Level II Trauma Center, a community hospital and an ambulatory surgery center. The assignment is ongoing, starts as soon as possible and offers a consistent 40-hour weekly schedule. Call is limited to in-house call about once every 8 weeks. You'll see a broad case mix and work within an established anesthesia care team.
Job Responsibilities
Cover orthopedic, neurosurgery, head and spine, thoracic and complex vascular cases, with cardiac exposure as applicable
Perform general, regional, spinal and epidural anesthesia
Place arterial lines, central lines and PA catheters as needed
Take part in in-house call coverage with a 45-minute response time
Document care accurately in Epic
Qualifications
Active Virginia license (required; only candidates with a Virginia license will be considered)
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and ABLS certifications
Recent hospital-based inpatient anesthesia experience
Able to complete a 90-day credentialing process
Working Hours
In-house call about once every 8 weeks
Start date: ASAP (after credentialing)
Assignment length: ongoing, long-term
Skills
Ventilation and hemodynamic management
Invasive line placement (arterial, central, PA catheter)
Proficiency with Epic
Adapts quickly to new teams and multi-site workflows
Clear communication with surgeons and care teams
