Job description
A healthcare facility in Kansas is seeking locum anesthesia coverage for a CRNA-focused assignment supporting a broad anesthesiology service line. This opportunity includes scheduled day shifts and OR call-only coverage, with an independent practice environment noted. The practice includes a defined case mix with endoscopy, orthopedics (including spine), general/urology, OB, and ENT. EMR is Medaxion. Travel expenses are covered (economy airfare, standard rental car, lodging, and mileage when using a personal vehicle). Job Responsibilities
• Perform OB coverage as needed, including OB call coverage when scheduled
• Perform ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia techniques as required (including common upper/lower extremity blocks and TAP blocks)
• Participate in OR call-only coverage as assigned with a 30-minute response time
Qualifications
• Board certification required (BC)
• Active Kansas license required (cannot wait for license)
• Kansas DEA required
• Kansas patient compensation fund requirement listed
• Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, PALS
• Proficiency in OB and ultrasound-guided regional blocks (including adductor canal/femoral, popliteal, interscalene, supraclavicular, axillary, TAP; occasional PECS)
Working Hours
• Call: OR call only noted as 5:00p–7:00a; 1:6 rotation; 30-minute response time
