Position Overview
Seeking a highly skilled, flexible, and dedicated Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time locum tenens engagement. As a critical member of our anesthesia care team, you will practice in a high-functioning Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center. This position offers a robust case mix and a collaborative care team model spanning two premier healthcare facilities in Marion County.
Job Responsibilities
• Case Mix: Provide high-quality anesthesia care for Cardiac, Orthopedics, General, Neurosurgery, Vascular, Endo, GYN, Robotics, and Trauma cases. (Note: No Pediatrics, No OB).
• Clinical Procedures: Perform a full range of advanced procedures independently, including regional blocks, spinals, and central/arterial line placements.
• Care Team Model: Operate within an Anesthesia Care Team (ACT) model consisting of 19 Physicians and 28 APPs with roughly 90% supervision (1:4 ratio) and 10% solo cases.
• Facility Coverage: Provide primary coverage at Ocala Regional Medical Center with required cross-credentialing to support West Marion Community Hospital as needed.
Qualifications
• Residency: Must be an out-of-state resident and provide proof of out-of-state licensure at the time of presentation.
• Licensure: Hold an active, unencumbered Florida Medical/Nursing License.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Clinical Experience: Proven, strong experience handling high-acuity Trauma cases.
• Technical Skills: Complete proficiency in regional blocks, spinals, and central/arterial line placements.
• Availability: Must have complete full-time schedule availability and flexibility.
• Background: Must possess a clean background and clear malpractice history.
Working Hours
• Hours & Shifts: Full-time schedule utilizing a flexible mix of 10, 12, and 14-hour day shifts (7A–5P, 7A–7P, 7A–9P) to meet departmental needs. No scheduled overtime.
• Weekend Commitment: Participate in a weekend rotation consisting of 2 shifts every 6 weeks. Weekend supervision shifts are 7A–7P; weekend solo shifts are 7A–5P.
• Call Requirements: On-site rotation required; there is no off-site call requirement.
