We are seeking a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a full-time locum opportunity at an Outpatient Surgical Center in Hanover, Pennsylvania. This position involves providing anesthesia care for a variety of outpatient surgical procedures involving both pediatric and adult patients. The CRNA will work within a medical direction model (1:3) alongside an experienced surgical team, with a strong emphasis on orthopedic procedures. No call responsibilities are required.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide safe anesthesia care for both pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations.
• Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period and ensure patient safety.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and perioperative staff.
• Document anesthesia records accurately using Epic EMR.
• Participate in a medical direction model while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Follow all clinical protocols and patient safety guidelines.
Qualifications
• Active Pennsylvania CRNA license or Compact License required.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience providing anesthesia in an ambulatory surgery center preferred.
• Recent Epic EMR experience preferred.
• Experience with orthopedic, gynecologic, ophthalmology, endoscopy, ENT, dental, and general surgery cases preferred.
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills.
Working Hours
• Monday through Friday.
• 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM with a 30-minute unpaid lunch.
• No on-call responsibilities.
• Assignment duration: 52 weeks, with the option to extend.
