Locums | CRNA | Duluth, MN (Any state license accepted) Why This Role

  • Any active state license accepted
  • No call requirement
  • Two ongoing openings
  • Flexible 8-, 10- or 12-hour weekday shifts
  • Level I trauma center with broad case exposure
Assignment Details Start date: ASAP after credentialing Duration: Ongoing Primary schedule: Monday–Friday Weekday shifts: 8, 10 or 12 hours Occasional weekend coverage may be available Weekend shifts: 12 or 16 hours Lunch: 30 minutes unpaid No call Practice model: Medically directed Average volume: One to two longer cases or three to four shorter cases per eight-hour day EMR: Epic Providers may work across multiple regional hospital, surgery-center and endoscopy locations Practice Environment Level I trauma center 26 operating rooms at the primary location New tertiary hospital opened in 2023 One-to-one patient care Anesthesiologists onsite within a collegial medical-direction model Coverage may include the OR, cath lab, GI, EP, MRI and CT All patient age groups Broad surgical schedule excluding transplants and pediatric cardiac cases Required Clinical Scope Adult, pediatric and neonatal general anesthesia Trauma anesthesia Spinal anesthesia Regional anesthesia Obstetric anesthesia Head and spine neurosurgery Open-heart and thoracic cases Complex vascular and orthopedic cases Ventilation management Management of acute volume and blood-pressure issues Arterial-line placement Central lines and PA catheters are not required Requirements Master’s or doctoral degree from an accredited nurse-anesthesia program NBCRNA certification Recent graduates awaiting initial certification may be considered Active unrestricted license with ability to obtain Minnesota CRNA licensure Current CPR, BCLS and ACLS Comfortable caring for all age groups in a high-acuity environment Credentialing Approximately 45–120 days Temporary privileges are not available Nearest airports: Duluth International and Minneapolis–Saint Paul International
