We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum opportunity at an Acute Care Hospital in Potsdam, New York. This inpatient position involves providing anesthesia services for a variety of surgical and obstetric procedures in a rural, critical access hospital setting. The CRNA will work collaboratively with the anesthesia team to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. No call coverage is required for this scheduled assignment.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide anesthesia care for obstetric cases, including epidural anesthesia.
• Deliver general anesthesia and monitor patients throughout the perioperative period.
• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and post-anesthesia evaluations.
• Assist with surgical scheduling and perioperative patient management.
• Document patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards.
Qualifications
• Active New York CRNA license required.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Recent Epic EMR experience required.
• Experience with inpatient anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, epidurals, and general anesthesia.
• Comfortable working in a rural or critical access hospital environment.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Residents and Fellows are not eligible for this assignment.
Working Hours
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM day shifts.
• No on-call responsibilities for this assignment.
• Assignment duration: 13 weeks, with ongoing coverage opportunities available.
